BioThane Headstalls & Reins
BioThane is polyester webbing wrapped in a tough TPU or PVC coating—built to handle daily work without the upkeep leather tack needs. No conditioning, no drying out, no cracking after a season in the weather. Wipe it down, and it's ready to go again.
It also comes in more colors than tack usually does. Pair a base color with a different trim to build a headstall that announces your horse's spirit and your stable, getting you noticed wherever you ride.
Each piece is Amish-made in Ohio and shipped anywhere in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.

Browband Headstalls
For riders using a snaffle bit.
A browband and throatlatch keep everything secure when the reins pull the crown loose. That extra stability helps if your horse is green, easily startled, or still learning the ropes.

One-Ear Headstalls
For riders using a curb bit.
The single ear loop rides light and simple. The bit's downward pressure keeps the headstall in place, making it a favorite in the show pen, where a clean profile matters.

Choose Your Base and Trim Color
BioThane is durable, easy to clean, and customizable, with dozens of color options. Stick with a single color, or choose one color for the base and another for the trim.
- The Base: The main strap—crown and cheek pieces, plus the throatlatch on browband styles.
- The Trim: The accents—the browband itself, or the ear loop on one-ear styles, plus the keepers, the small loops that hold each strap's end neatly in place.
Multicolor headstalls take a little extra care to build, so please allow two weeks for shipping on those orders.
